Is there a membership fee?
No! Any dues collected go toward hosting events, guest speakers, and supporting our annual charitable donations.
How often do you meet?
We discuss online in a group chat to plan current events, host guest speakers, hold debates, and plan upcoming events. Meeting times and locations are posted on our website and shared with members in advance.
What happens at a typical meeting or event?
Meetings may include guest speakers (professors, journalists, policymakers, and community leaders), open political discussions, debate practice, or planning sessions for upcoming civic engagement projects.
Do I need political science experience to join?
No prior experience is required. Just an interest in political literacy, civic engagement, and public discourse. Our programs are designed to build these skills, not assume you already have them.
Can I help organize events or invite speakers?
Yes! Members are encouraged to propose event ideas, suggest speakers, and take on leadership roles in planning and hosting Summit Writing events.
What charities and causes will Summit Writing support?
Different charities depending on the cause, including organizations like the Community Chest, local animal shelters, and food pantries. Half of our profits (excluding direct donations, which are passed along in full) go to charities and shelters around the world each year.
Are there opportunities for public speaking or leadership?
Yes! Members can host discussions, moderate debates, introduce guest speakers, or lead civic engagement projects, building real public speaking and leadership experience.
